Key Account Manager / Project Manager (English-speaking)

Your primary responsibilities will be to coordinate our English language projects, by supervising our freelance writers and translators, and to ensure the quality of all assignments. This full-time position is available immediately. Your English is excellent and has native speaker level? Are you well organised and do you have an eye for detail? Then this is the job for you!

Your tasks in this new position:

  • Key account management: you will be the interface between our English-speaking clients and the translators, transcriptionists, and copy-writers
  • You will provide independent support for existing clients in all product areas, from project planning to accounting
  • You will be responsible for converting English client enquiries into actual assignments, primarily by drawing up tailor-made quotations to meet clients' requests, via email and personal communication with clients, in close coordination with Project Leadership, Marketing, Recruitment and Project Management, thereby contributing to the further development of the company’s client base and the volume of orders received
  • You will make decisions independently, regarding the awarding and coordination of assignments
  • You will support the Head of Marketing and Business Development, among other activities, with marketing measures for the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of our client base
  • You will handle the final quality control for all your clients' orders

Your profile:

A positive attitude, energy and the will to learn new skills and bring in and implement your own ideas are more important to us than qualifications or many years of experience.

Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

  • Customer Contact/Service Industry
  • Project Management, Key-Account Management or Procurement
  • Marketing, Sales or Business Development
  • English/Language Studies, Business Administration or Journalism
  • Experience with Translation, Transcription, Voice-overs, Proofreading and Copywriting

Knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent English skills (native speaker level) and skills in one further language, preferably a European language
  • A friendly and highly professional approach when dealing with clients
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, customer and service orientation
  • Thriving in a deadline-driven and fast-paced industry
  • A strong sense of diligence and responsibility
  • A high level of motivation for making a direct contribution to the growth of the company
  • A high level of conscientiousness and accuracy
  • A precise, independent work methods and a high level of team spirit
  • A good understanding of IT and EDP, particularly strong with Excel, Word, and in acquiring new software skills
  • A creative and at the same time analytical and solution-focused approach to the compilation of attractive quotations

  • Agility, ability to switch between projects of varying complexity, difficulty and delivery time, while maintaining focus and perspective
  • Process-oriented, analytical and structured thinking, ability to understand complex projects and review complex files
  • Good time and self-management, ability to set priorities and work through projects accordingly (workflow management)
  • Technology adeptness: genuine interest in software solutions and the eagerness and ability to acquire/expand further software knowledge
  • Interest in language and culture

  • A monthly salary depending on individual qualifications, experience and performance. For career starters, the initial gross monthly salary is 20,000 ZAR on average. Project managers who make an above-average contribution can earn up to 30,000 ZAR per month on average.
