Your language project is completed by freelancers who’ve done great work for us over many years. Our team of more than 500 freelancers from across the globe go through a strict recruitment process – passing tests and providing references – before we let them loose on your assignments. Our daily partnership with them means we know their strengths and weaknesses, and precisely which project each is best suited to.
We know our legal translations from our technical ones, and our medical transcriptions from ones for market research. That’s why we look carefully at the qualifications of our freelancers before engaging them for your assignment.
We only use native speakers for your language projects. That means that every translator, copywriter or proofreader is working in the exact same language that they grew up speaking. That’s how we make sure that linguistic and cultural idioms are identified and used for all assignments.
Every translation and transcription is checked as standard by a second translator or transcriptionist. Before the finished texts make their way over to you, our quality control department checks one more time that everything is okay.
Your data is secure with us. We, together with all of our freelancers, are bound by German Federal Data Protection Law (BDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can choose to send us your texts and files using our FTP server or your favoured method of data transfer. Only your personal project manager and the chosen freelancer have access to your files. For especially sensitive data, we provide the option of getting in touch with us via secure email. Individual confidentiality agreements can also be signed.
To ensure the consistent quality of our service, MSS Cape Town particularly follows the DIN EN 15038 - a European quality standard developed especially for translation services providers - respectively the ISO 17100, which transferred the original EN 15038 requirements to the ISO framework. Furthermore, we follow the ISO 9000 family where applicable for our business.
