Deutsch Case study 1 - Planned:
You are planning, for instance, 50 one-on-one interviews for your Master's thesis or PhD dissertation, each 60 to 90 minutes long. The interview sessions are to take place over the coming months and the transcripts are also to be transcribed successively. You would like to receive the transcripts in batches, e.g. two to three interview files every two to three days.

For your Master's thesis or PhD dissertation, you have many hours of interviews on tape? Perhaps you have already started transcribing the interview recordings yourself. Your deadline for your research paper is creeping up on you, and you seem to be getting nowhere with the transcriptions? Then please contact us quickly and we will transcribe your interviews and other audio files for you - ad-hoc, express and uncomplicated. We can transcribe extra swiftly - according to your budget and time expectations.
Which services we offer and what options are available to you:
- We deliver a Word document or, if required, an RTF document according to your specifications
- We deliver the transcribed interview files individually as they are completed, in batches or all transcripts together - as your schedule requires
- Depending on the project requirements and audio quality, machine-assisted transcription can be used to save time and money
- Requests such as smoothing the spoken word in two stages: 1) no stuttering, no verbal errors or filler words or 2) smoothing into good written German, English, French, Spanish, ... , can be implemented
- The recording of time marks, for example per page, on speaker changes, every 5 or every 3 minutes and on any unclear or uncertain words or phrases.
- You determine the level of detail of the transcription: transcribing background noises, pauses for thought, laughter and other non-linguistic actions; we are familiar with transcription systems such as Kuckartz, Dresing & Pehl, GAT.
- We will take your word template, term list or other specialist terminology into account.
- Depending on the duration of the project, you will receive an invoice either on completion of the order or monthly in arrears for the interview transcriptions actually delivered in the respective month.
- We are committed to the EU GDPR; your data will be kept strictly confidential, we sign an individual confidentiality agreement

- Basic detailed transcription from 2.19 euro per audio minute (level of detail in line with Simplified Dresing & Pehl Transcription System)
- For the inclusion of further aspects (including mood/atmosphere and other non-verbal input), an additional surcharge, starting at 0.29 euro per minute, will be charged. Your specific requirements regarding the transcription guidelines apply
- Very detailed transcription from 4.19 euro per audio minute (level of detail in line with GAT Basic Transcription)
- Specific prices for detailed transcriptions upon request, after receipt of audio sample.
- Prices for transcriptions include a quality check by our quality management team.
- Prices are for transcripts of easily understandable audio files with consistently good sound quality and normal speaking speed.
- Prices are subject to our capacities, jargon, dialect and language combinations.

All prices include proofreading and quality control. Possible surcharges for jargon, express delivery and language combinations apply to all products. A minimum price of 75.00 euro per language and product will be charged for assignments with small volumes, with an exception of 60.00 euro for transcriptions in German and in English. Students receive a discount of 10 percent.
